After attending the Reno Air Races in 2006, I knew then I wanted to participate. I was hooked! In 2007, I bought a race plane and practiced the skills I needed to fly with some of the best race pilots in the world. My advice to someone who is interested in one day racing is be prepared and practice. Show up ready to race, and I am sure, just as it is for me, the rewards will far outweigh the risks.
David Massey, designer, builder and crew chief of Team Miss Min is totally focused when it comes to racing. Weather it be Top Fuel Dragsters or Formula One aircraft, pilot Jim Jordan can count on him to keep him safe and go fast. In preparation for the races in 2020, David is planning some engine modifications and a new propeller design, which should help us achieve our goal of winning the Gold in the Formula One Class.
Since joining the team in 2010, Dan has been an invaluable source for advice and aircraft knowledge. His calming nature and sense of humor are priceless. Although long in coming, Dan believe's 2020 will be our year to win the gold. Dan's primary duties are A/V Engineer. He is also an expert on the history of Formula One Air Racing.
